A Message from the Superintendent

The district should be proud of the fact that 82% of the graduating class of 2006 was accepted to post secondary institutes. The state average is between 50% and 55%. That in itself says a lot about the students and the staff of MSAD #70

This year we have nine students taking early college courses through the University of Maine at Presque Isle. We have eighteen students signed up for the spring semester. Three students are currently taking on-line courses through the University of Maine in Orono, and another three are signed up for the spring. Because of the districts investment in technology we were able to offer Latin to students and a variety of VHS courses. Currently we have students taking Advanced Placement courses in English, Chemistry, Biology, and U.S. History.

I believe that the people of MSAD #70 can be proud of the accomplishments of its students. The district is headed in the right direction when it comes to educating its students. The use of technology will continue to play a larger role as a tool in helping our students in their educational journey.

I would like to personally thank the people of MSAD #70 for their support of our educational programs.
